For the 2025-2026 school year, The Indy Learning Team is awarding 10 grants for the
implementation of Adira Reads System.
What: Adira Reads is an AI-powered thinking partner for educators, designed to reduce the
data analytics load for teachers and close foundational skill gaps by delivering real-time,
data-driven insights that save planning time and accelerate student growth through targeted, adaptive support.
Who Is Eligible: Grant supports schools implementing the Adira Reads system. Schools need to meet the following criteria:
● Make data driven decisions
● Use science-based phonics curriculum
● Provide or ability to provide small group phonics instruction
Grant Details:
The grant covers $7,500 of the cost with the schools matching 25% of the
total cost or $2,500. Services for the school year include:
1. Initial Assessment & Gap Analysis
The year begins with the administration of a Foundational Skills Screener that
identifies each student’s unique reading profile.
2. Custom Scope & Instructional Sequences
Based on each student’s screener results, Adira Reads generates a custom
instructional scope and sequence that aligns with the school’s existing curriculum.
This tailored plan ensures that teachers deliver precisely the content students need to
master, without adding new instructional burdens.
3. Adira Instructional Insights
Teachers submit short weekly lesson checks. Adira Reads analyzes this input using AI
to detect trends, flag skill gaps, and suggest real-time instructional adjustments.
4. Weekly Tracking and Reporting
Progress is tracked weekly, and insights are visualized in dashboards that inform
instruction. Teachers and administrators can see which skills are being mastered and
where reteaching is needed.
5. Monthly Regrouping & Instructional Optimization
Every four weeks, students are regrouped based on current performance data. This
dynamic model ensures that learners are not left behind or locked into static
intervention groups, maximizing instructional efficiency and engagement.
