Supporting Readers and Writers


Ms. Trinity has 10 preschool and kindergarten students. After school at MLK Center, Ms. Trinity works with students for one-hour on reading and writing skills. In this picture, a preschool student created a word flip book to practice blending

We are excited to see the enthusiasm for reading these young students show each day. Learning to read requires practice in the big 5: phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension.


By starting early, Ms. Trinity and MLK Center is changing the trajectory of these students lives. Giving them skills to thrive!
